Give the Gift of Life this Christmas Season
Advent is a time of preparation for the coming of Christ into the world, and more importantly into each of our hearts. Unfortunately, it is also a time when it is all too easy to get lost in the swirling tides of consumerism and be thrown upon the rocks of despair by the numerous demands of the Christmas season.
There is hope. This year, Stop Hunger Now is offering a small and simple package of resources aimed at helping transform this Christmas season into a time of spiritual growth and awakening. “The Gift of Life” includes bulletin inserts, family advent calendars, and most importantly, help to stay focused on the true meaning of Christmas.
“The Gift of Life” is an opportunity for every member of the congregation to give the gift of life this Christmas. Members get to participate in the true meaning of the season and reflect on what the gift of Life really means.
We live in a world created perfectly and richly blessed by God. There is more than enough food for all of us. Yet, over one billion of our brothers and sisters are constantly stalked by hunger. More than 25,000 of our family succumb to hunger and hunger-related causes every single day. This is sinful and morally repugnant.
“The Gift of Life” provides a perfect avenue for your congregation to make a real difference in the lives of thousands of hungry this Christmas. The resources are simple and easy to use, but they have an impact far beyond anything you might hope for or expect.

Stop Hunger Now will provide the meal bags for donation collections. You may print the bulletin inserts and “Gift of Life” calendars in either color or black-and-white -- your choice.
